Anthony Bynum - Student-led Tutoring Program
COIN student and Hilton Head Island High School senior Anthony Bynum was honored at the 3rd Annual African American History Education Conference for starting a student-led tutoring program. The program is aimed to help students at Hilton Head School for the Creative Arts and Hilton Head Island Elementary School.

LJ Bush - John Paul II Catholic School Warrior Way Program
LJ Bush spoke at John Paul II Catholic School on February 2nd in regards to their “Warrior Way” program. The program focuses on ensuring students are knowledgeable about the school’s core values and strive to live out those values within the school and greater community.
Each month the school focuses on one of the SHIELD core values, which are outlined in their mission statement ( www.johnpaul2school.org). During the “Warrior Way”, the student body gathers and listens to speakers, participates in activities, and focuses on the value of the month. February was focused on EXCELLENCE. LJ shared his story and highlighted a couple stories of COIN students finding their way to achieve excellence. He aimed to inspire and motivate the John Paul students with his seven keys to achieving excellence.

COIN Drumline - Alandria Kennedy
COIN drumline member Alandria Kennedy graduated from Navy Bootcamp in Great Lakes, Illinois on November 30th. She was a section leader and earned a Marksman Ribbon for being a great shooter. Her first duty station will be in San Diego, California once she completes A School. Congrats Alandria!
LJ Bush: Making an Impact by Mentoring

Dimitri Thesmari
COIN Member Dimitri Thesmari is designing and installing custom shell ring fireplaces in the lowcountry.
COIN enabled this opportunity for Dimitri by connecting with D. Pierce Giltner of Rustic Installations/Tabby Shell Fireplaces in Beaufort County, South Carolina. Mr. Giltner is an outsider artist that profoundly depicts the life of an oysterman in the lowcountry.

— COIN Scholarships have been awarded to five COIN students by Beaufort County Digital Corridor (BDC). BDC nurtures and promotes technology entrepreneurs.
They offer networking opportunities, continuing education and member driven programs to help grow the tech economy in the low country. The students
will participate in an eight week program to prepare them for careers in cyber security. Congratulations and special thanks to our partner BDC for
investing in COIN!
— COIN has institutionalized a Life Lessons Guide to enable student success. Meetings occur weekly during the school year with COIN representatives.
